Aquaculture: Farming the Waters – Explore Canada’s Seafood Farms
Dates: September 10 – December 28
Take students on an interactive journey through Canada’s aquaculture — the farming of fish, shellfish, and seaweed. Aquaculture: Farming the Waters, a travelling exhibition from Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation, offers hands-on activities and engaging exhibits to help students learn about:
- How Canadian farmers raise fish, oysters, kelp, and more.
- Indigenous aquaculture practices and the history of seafood farming.
- Sustainable food production technologies and innovation.
- Challenges and solutions in managing aquatic ecosystems.
The exhibition is suitable for all ages and abilities, including an accessible audio tour for visually-impaired visitors.
