The Muskoka Discovery Centre is embarking on an exciting transformation of KidZone—an imaginative, nature-inspired space where children can learn, play, and explore. As we prepare for the opening of Love Muskoka, Sustain Muskoka in the spring of 2026, we are extending that same commitment to environmental awareness and stewardship into our children’s programming. The revitalized KidZone will be a place where kids can connect with Muskoka’s lakes, forests, and wildlife through hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and the joy of discovery.
Our first step in this revitalization is the creation of a new digital memory game, launching in January 2026. This playful interactive invites children to flip virtual cards, find pairs, and uncover Muskoka’s most familiar species—animals, plants, and natural landmarks. Designed for one or two players, the experience strengthens observation and matching skills while inspiring curiosity about the natural world. Most importantly, this exhibit is only the beginning. It will be the first of several new interactive experiences that blend environmental learning, creative play, and imagination to reshape KidZone into a dynamic learning environment.
