The southern end of Muskoka is a 90 minute drive from the northern GTA, making it a perfect destination for a summer family day trip. It gets better tomorrow, July 14, 2018, when Watershed Wonders opens.
Eight dates this summer, in particular, are as family – friendly as a daycation can get, especially for pirates and princesses. For six Sundays, July 15, 22, and August 5, 12, 19 and 26, we are welcoming pirates aboard Wenonah II. The first one, this Sunday, July 15, will sail from Noon to 2 PM. All the rest sail from 9:30 to 11:30 AM.
Two cruises for princesses who love to sing sail , July 21 and August 18 from 10 to 11:30 AM.
You can save on admission to the Discovery Centre, which includes our newest permanent exhibit Watershed Wonders in one of two ways: 1) show your steamship ticket at the Discovery Centre or 2) book the Cruise and Discover steamship special online or over the phone. (1.866.687.6667)
In between the cruise and the Discovery Centre, explore Muskoka Wharf. Besides the lovely boardwalk, there is an ice cream shop, a lovely French patisserie, restaurants, boat and seamobile rentals. Parking is free – and there is lots of it.
Do you have more than a day to spend in Muskoka? Muskoka Wharf has a hotel – a Marriott Residence Inn, and there are B&Bs, some within walking distance.
Remember, families that cruise and discovery together make memories that last a lifetime.
PS: Ashley, our very own pirate princess will be offering face-painting on all of the voyages. Costumes are encouraged.
