This year, the RMS Segwun celebrates an extraordinary milestone — her 100th anniversary. From her early days as the paddle wheeler Nipissing to her relaunch as Segwun on July 9, 1925, she has remained a timeless symbol of Muskoka’s heritage.
For generations, Segwun has evoked the spirit of Muskoka — a gentle glide across sunlit waters, the distant whistle of steam, and memories of summers spent at the cottage: barefoot children on docks, twilight campfires, and moments with family and friends that last a lifetime.
But now, Segwun needs your help.
To ensure she continues to sail for future generations, Segwun will undergo a major restoration beginning in Fall 2025 for both her woodwork and mechanical systems. While annual repairs have kept her afloat, this extensive work is essential to her long-term preservation.
