On November 10, 2017 from 3 to 4 PM, Stu Paul will be talking about GIS Technology and mapping Muskoka.

His presentation will explain what Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are. He will also explain what services the District of Muskoka GIS Department can provide residents.

He will talk about historic maps available on the Internet that provide information about original land grants and their owners: A useful skill for people researching their family history.

Mr. Paul will explain how emergency services finds remote locations in Muskoka. Just one of the many applications for mapping technology in Muskoka.

The presentation will be held in the Greavette Room of Muskoka Discovery Centre, 275 Steamship Bay Road, Gravenhurst.
